Description:
Chrome-pin gathering chain for John Deere 40 and 90 Series corn heads and compatible Case IH® and New Holland® corn heads using the same CA555 eight-lug chain configuration.
This gathering chain works as part of a pair to pull stalks and ears rearward through the row unit and into the corn head. Chrome pins provide a harder wear surface at the pin-and-bushing joint, helping reduce chain elongation and extend service life in abrasive harvest conditions.

John Deere®:
40 Series and 90 Series corn heads, including 243, 343, 443, 493, 543, 643, 693, 843, 893, 1243, and 1293 models and their corresponding row-spacing configurations using OEM part number AH136671.
Case IH®:
2200, 2400, 3200, and 3400 Series corn heads through model year 2010, including 2206, 2208, and 2212. Also fits select earlier 800 and 1000 Series applications using the same CA555 eight-lug gathering chain.
New Holland®:
Select 974, 996, 96C, 98C, and 98D corn heads through model year 2010 using the same eight-lug chain configuration.

Fitment Note:
This is the eight-lug chain configuration. Case IH® and New Holland® corn heads manufactured in 2011 and later may use the six-lug gathering chain that replaces OEM part number 84284709. On Case IH® 2206, 2208, and 2212 heads, verify the serial-number break at HAJ0003469 or confirm the existing OEM part number before ordering.
Service Tip:
When installing new gathering chains, inspect the drive and idler sprockets for hooked, pointed, or unevenly worn teeth. Worn sprockets can accelerate wear on a new chain. For consistent feeding and adjustment, replace both gathering chains on the row together and set chain tension and lug timing according to the equipment manufacturer’s instructions.
