This 6-lug gathering chain was designed to help deal with the ever lingering problem of pulling too much trash into the corn head, and thus the feeder house of the combine. These chains can decrease the trash coming into the corn head by upwards of 40%! By operating with 6-lugs, rather than the normal 8-lugs, we are able to increase the window between lugs by 25%. Giving the stalk rolls more time to do their job - suck the trash down. This 6-lug chain acts similarly to a slow-down kit, but rather than having to the drive sprockets, idler sprockets, and chains - a farmer can get by with just purchasing chains. Thus offering a more cost-effective way to decrease trash - and increase yield. These chains are the best "bang for your buck" on the market AND they are CHROME pinned, offering a longer life than most other aftermarket chains!
